Welcome! We've gone green....

5th Annual Harvest Festival
Saturday, August 30, 2008

The 5th Annual Harvest Festival is on a new day and will be taking on a few changes!  The festival has always been a wonderful end of summer time of fellowship that we felt should be carried on so with the help of some wonderful volunteers from Unity UCC, Shanksville, the festival will live on.  We cannot do it without you though!  We are again looking for donations to our lunch salad with goodies from your home garden AND items for the dessert contest and Chili Cook-off.  If you are planning on bringing any of the above items, please email or call the camp to let us know so we can better plan the meals.

We are also carrying on the tradition of the Tom Gibb Memorial Softball Tournament and looking for teams to sign up.  We are also adding a 5-on-5 basketball tournament for those of you (like me!) that are not good with ball-bat coordination.  The basketball tournament is open to teams high-school age and older.  Each team must be co-ed with at least 2 woman.  Both tournaments are designed for fun.  For further details, please contact the camp.  There is an entry fee of $5.00/team for each team entered into an event.  Games will start at 9AM.

If you aren't up for a physical game, there is still plenty for you to do.  We will be having various entertainment throughout the day including a local, Christian band, Apostles Creed as well as instrumentals and praise teams.  Not to mention board games, horseshoes, and my favorite, ladder golf (of golf ball on a rope for those of you that camp here!)

Registration the day of the event is permitted however we ask that you register (or call) ahead of time to let us know you are coming so we can better make plans.  I look forward to sharing in the day with you and hope to see you here!

How can we help you?

Do you need a place to hold a retreat or simply have a weekend gathering?  Maybe we can help.  Our facility has several buildings to help facilitate all your needs.  You can choose to do your own cooking in our small kitchens or we can do all the work for you by having our staff cook.  The choice is yours!  To check out our availability, click on the What's New tab.

Many people have found love at Living Waters over the past 43 years and on May 24, 2008 two more people said "I do" to spending their life together.  Eric Carroll and Bethany Pastorius, surrounded by many camp friends were married in Pittsburgh, PA.  Congratulations Eric and Bethany!!
