Secrets of the Kingdom - The Parables of Jesus - 2012

The Parables of Jesus
This summer campers will explore their faith in God through the parables of Jesus. Some people will say that parables are just stories. However, they are stories that give us new insights into how Jesus wants us to live. From the parable of the sower to the parable of the mustard seed we will discover how we receive the message of God’s love and what He expects us to do with it. We will find God’s grace in the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Plus other parables that may surprise our thinking. While some people want to make faith complicated and confusing Jesus opens a trail of thinking that is very simple. This summer we will bring the parables to life each day as we grow in faith and understanding.

Your mission offering donations from Summer 2011 totaled $510.00!! The mission for 2011 was Heifer International and by vote at the fall youth rally, we were able to purchase the following animals: Water Buffalo ($250.00), Llama ($150.00), Rabbits ($60.00), Bees ($30.00) and Chicks ($20.00).
