There are several projects we would like to accomplish at Living Waters in the next several months.  I wanted to make available a list of projects and the costs involved with these projects.  Unfortunately maintaining and renovating the camp is not cheap.  We are working very hard to make Living Waters the best place it can be.

White House Window Replacement                                     $175/window
In order to make the White House more fuel efficient for heating, we would like to replace all of the old windows.  There are 41 windows total in the house.
Stone for Roadways                                                                    $ 1100.00
Last year we were able to raise enough money to put new stone on most of the road around the meadow.  We would like to put new stone on the road to the Pioneer Area also.  During periods of heavy rain, we lose a lot of stone in certain places so we would also like to have a small reserve of stone for future replacement.
New Doors for Lodge                                                              Est. $2000.00
You can only open and shut a door so many times before it goes on strike!  After nearly 20 years of use, the doors on the Lodge are in need of replacement.  They have been fixed several times and should be updated to reflect newer standards for exits.  The front of the Lodge has a double door and the back is a single door.
Scholarships for campers                                                          $ 300.00
There are many children that would like to attend camp but cannot afford it.  Even with some churches paying a portion of the fee, if a family has two or more children, the cost is still high.  We would like to alleviate the burden on families by offering scholarships for children to attend.

General Operating Funds                                                      unlimited
Unfortunately, operating the camp is not cheap.  With rising fuel, heating, and electricity costs, not to mention the need for items such as garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels and soap, it is getting harder to make ends meet without raising prices to our users.  By making donations to the general account, we are able to provide the mission of Outdoor Ministry without charging an arm and a leg.

Living Waters is a great place.  If you have not experienced it lately, please talk to someone who has or stop by.  We are always willing to give tours.  Also, keep your eyes open for events that may be held at Living Waters such as the Women's Retreat, Pastors Retreat, or Singles Weekend that may give you the opportunity to support the camp while having some great fellowship in the mean time.

Thank You,

 Joni Hufford, Executive Director
